Important Information about your MethDA Cloud Conversion

Please follow the instructions set below to prepare for your MethDA Cloud Conversion. All steps must be completed before we can go ahead with your conversion. 

 

 

The conversion process 

Important Conversion Information:

  • The MethDA Cloud migration process will take approximately 2 hours to complete
  • All active patient information will be transferred to the new system
  • After the conversion, you will access MethDA through DDBook Cloud. You must stop using MethDA Desktop once conversion is complete
  • All ODT medication is received into DDBook Cloud through the POS integration
  • New scripts and repeats will appear in your DDBook pending supply to patient list for processing. Double-click on the pending dispense to import it to MethDA Cloud
  • Training materials will be provided after the conversion via Email. 
  • Your DDBook Cloud will be updated to a new Premium or Unlimited license. Any remaining credit from your previous MethDA desktop license will be applied to your new license on the day of conversion

MethDA desktop vs MethDA Cloud features

These MethDA Desktop features are currently in development for MethDA Cloud:

  • e-Signing pad integration
  • Pre-prepare doses (Advanced dosing)
  • Patient Signature Sheets
  • Multiple label printers
  • Digital copy of Rx
  • Mechanical Pump Integration

I already have a MethDA license, do I need a new Cloud license?

Yes, you need a DDBook Cloud Premium or Unlimited license. We will use any remaining credit from your existing license towards your new license on the day of conversion

What data gets converted during the conversion process?

All active patients and their current scripts are migrated to MethDA Cloud

Do I need to migrate the profiles of all patients and users that are no longer active?

We require all pharmacists that have been active in the last 12 months to have an AHPRA number entered.

For patients, please ensure reference numbers are entered for any patient active in the last 3 months.

Both fields are mandatory as part of the pre-conversion steps.

Will all historical data be migrated?

No, we only migrate current active patients and scripts. Please ensure you have saved a complete register report from MethDA Desktop prior to your conversion appointment.

Back up your MethDA Data

We recommend backing up a copy of the database for safe keeping on an external hard drive or server that gets regularly backed up

The current backup location can be seen via Tools -> Backup in MethDA:

Do I have to choose which computer to install MethDA Cloud on?

MethDA Cloud is cloud-based and will be available on all computers that have internet access

Do I still have to pay per patient?
No, we’ve changed our licensing model to give greater flexibility and self-service control. MethDA Cloud operates on a dose credit model that charges for every dose of medication supplied. The pricing is more cost effective than MethDA Desktop and much more flexible, especially for pharmacies that experience fluctuations in patient numbers.
